East Asia’s elite recognized in All-EASL Team

Stars from Chinese Taipei, Japan and Korea feature in best five from 2023-24 Season

Five outstanding players from the East Asia Super League 2023-24 Season have been selected to make up the All-EASL Team.

The team is a selection of the greatest players currently active in East Asian professional basketball, as EASL provides a new platform to recognize Asia’s best talent.

The 2023-24 All-EASL team includes two players from champions Chiba Jets (Japan – B.LEAGUE). Jets guard Yuki Togashi led his team to the championship with a string of inspirational performances, also securing the Most Valuable Player award for the EASL Final Four 2024. The 5-foot-6 star averaged 19.6 points and 5.6 assists in seven EASL games this season, including 26.0 points in the two games during the Final Four.

Togashi's teammate John Mooney was dominant in the frontcourt, leading the league in rebound with 15.3 rebounds over six games this season. Mooney also averaged 21.7 points, including three EASL Player of the Game honors this season.

The EASL’s top scorer this season, Jameel Warney of the Seoul SK Knights (Korean Basketball League), made the team after averaging a staggering 34.8 points, and 13.2 rebounds, per game over six games. Warney set the season high for most points scored in a single game this season, pouring in 45 points against the New Taipei Kings back in November 2023.

Despite a season curtailed by injury, Asian basketball legend Jeremy Lin was selected. The former NBA star showed his quality early-season as he helped lead the New Taipei Kings (Chinese Taipei – P. LEAGUE+) jump to a 4-0 start in the Group Stage. Lin finished the season averaging 16.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists in five EASL games.

Korean national team star Park Ji Hoon capped a magnificent EASL Season for Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters with a Player of the Game performance in the Third Place Game, featuring 29 points and eight rebounds. Playing in all of his team's eight EASL games, the Korean star averaged 12.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists this season.

The 2023-24 All-EASL Team was selected from players that played a minimum of four games during the 2023-24 Season. The other conditions for the team were that it must include three domestic players and two imports.
