Tickets on sale now for EASL Final Four in Cebu

Travelling fans to enjoy stunning location for historic finals in Filipino resort city

Ticket sales began at 12 noon today for the East Asia Super League Final Four, taking place on March 8-10 in Cebu, the Philippines.

Basketball fans from Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, the Philippines and beyond will descend on one of Asia’s most beautiful resort islands for the historic finals.

The EASL Final Four will be contested by the Chiba Jets (B.LEAGUE – Japan), the New Taipei Kings (P. LEAGUE – Chinese Taipei), the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters (Korean Basketball League), and the Seoul SK Knights. It is the finals of the first full-length EASL season. The Championship Game on Sunday, March 10, will crown East Asia’s professional club basketball champion.

Cebu has long been one of the Philippines’ biggest tourism destinations. With the EASL Final Four, it is adding a world-class sports event to its list of attractions. The Final Four will be the biggest international elite sports event ever hosted in the city.

Cebu is known across the Philippines for its passion for basketball and a strong local turnout is a certainty. The Final Four will also be Cebu’s first-ever international professional club basketball competition and will feature the strongest line-up of elite basketball talent ever seen in the city. This is set to include: NBA legend Jeremy Lin, of the New Taipei Kings; Japan national team captain Yuki Togashi, of the Chiba Jets; KBL foreign MVP and top scorer Jameel Warney, of the Seoul SK Knights; and exciting new import Robert Carter Jr., of the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters.

EASL Final Four game venue the Hoops Dome has received major upgrades ahead of the event, with new, FIBA-certified court flooring and basket configurations, and a new jumbotron.

The Hoops Dome will have a capacity of 4,600 on EASL Final Four gamedays, ensuring tickets sell out and an intense atmosphere within the venue.

EASL CEO Henry Kerins said, “We wanted our first Final Four to be something special for the fans and we picked Cebu as the venue on that basis. Everyone knows the passion and the heart for basketball here in the Philippines. Cebu has a huge amount of development going on that is really exciting. It has some of the most beautiful beaches and beautiful culture in Asia. It’s young, it’s hungry and it’s growing, and we’re really excited to be a part of that.”
