EASL Takeaway: On October 3, China Basketball Association (CBA) announced the 2022-23 season will begin on October 10. However, most team players from the Guangdong Southern Tigers are currently under quarantine after one person with COVID visited the training facility on October 1 afternoon.

🏀 B.LEAGUE 2022-23 tipped off this week

EASL Takeaway:  On September 30, the 2022-23 B.LEAGUE season officially tipped off, marking the sixth season of the league’s history. Last week, one of the most notable matches took place between Utsunomiya Brex and Ryukyu Golden Kings, which fought fiercely in the championship last season.  

⛹ Seoul SK Knights faced lopsided defeat

EASL Takeaway: Seoul SK Knights, the strongest team that achieved its first integrated championship in the regular league and the playoffs after reaching the top of the KBL Cup tournament last season, lost in its first official match of the new season.  ​

EASL Takeaway: The PBA Commissioner’s Cup kicks off on September 21 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The import-laden conference is making a return after a two-year absence due to Covid-19.

EASL Takeaway: On September 30, P. LEAGUE+ held a press conference to reveal the official schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 regular season. This will be the league’s third year of operating the professional league.  ​
