Lu Chun-Hsiang Becomes P. LEAGUE+’s All-Time Leading Scorer

Taoyuan’s star currently averages 17.5 points in EASL play

Taoyuan guard Lu Chun-Hsiang became the P. LEAGUE+’s all-time leading scorer Thursday, tallying 13 points in a 114-77 win over the Kaohsiung Steelers. Lu has now totaled 1,762 points as of Jan. 16, surpassing the previous record of 1,749 set by former New Taipei Kings player Yang Chin-min.

Lu achieved history on Taoyuan’s first offensive possession against the Steelers. In a straight-line drive starting near the right wing, Lu converted a layup for the game’s first two points and a new P. LEAGUE+ scoring record. In domestic league play so far this year, he currently averages a team-high 18.9 points.

For the Pauian Pilots’ star, it’s been a similar story in the East Asia Super League during the team’s inaugural year of participating. Taoyuan runs its offense through the score-first guard, who averages 17.5 points and 3.5 assists, which has helped the team achieve a 3-1 record through four games and has it sitting comfortably in second place in Group A.

Lu and Taoyuan are back in EASL action on Wednesday, Jan. 22 when they travel to Fukuyama, Japan to take on Group A leaders, the B.LEAGUE’s Hiroshima Dragonflies. Tip off is set for 6:10 p.m. CST at F-PICO Arena.
