East Asia Super League Announces Spalding and Aglet as EASL Champions Week Official Partners

Hong Kong SAR, February 22, 2023 – East Asia Super League (EASL) has announced deals with two official sponsors for the upcomingEASL Champions Week. Spalding, a leading sports equipment company, will be the official game ball sponsor of the competition, and Aglet, the first location-based, virtual shopping game for sneaker-heads.

“As Asia’s premier basketball league, EASL is honored to partner with top brands Spalding and Aglet for EASL Champions Week,” said EASL CEO Matt Beyer.“Similar to EASL, these two companies are leaders in their respective fields, and these partnerships will allow for more innovative ways for fans to immerse themselves in EASL basketball.”

Spalding has designed and produced a series of customized EASL-branded top-grade high quality basketballs with EASL’s logo and EASL CEO signature, as well as mini balls for giveaway to fans during EASL Champions Week games.

“We are proud to partner with East Asia Super League, providing high quality game ball for the best competition in Asia,” said Spalding Managing Director Chai Min Fang. “Spalding is one of the world’s most historic basketball brands with the highest quality equipment, and we are very excited to showcase that during EASL Champions Week.”

Aglet will create sneaker and apparel digital collectibles honoring each participating team for fans to collect and trade. These collectibles will be placed at in-game “Treasure Stashes” around the world, made available in the Aglet Shop, and turned into Spatial NFTs for players and fans visiting the tournament locations to collect and enjoy.

"Basketball was my first love and my personal introduction to fashion, sneakers and the larger creative world of culture that it now helps define and drive globally. As both basketball and Aglet continue to grow across the world, our partnership with EASL will help to fuse basketball fandom with digital products, collectibles and experiences for a new generation of fans," said Aglet co-founder and CEO Ryan David Mullins.
