EASL Announces 2024-25 All-EASL Team Presented By Spalding

Hiroshima Dragonflies, New Taipei Kings each place two players, runners-up Taoyuan represented by Lu Chun-Hsiang

The East Asia Super League (EASL) has released the members of its 2024-25 All-EASL Team, presented by Spalding.

Hiroshima Dragonflies forward Dwayne Evans II, the EASL Final Four 2025 Finals MVP, headlines the All-EASL First Team presented by Spalding, alongside teammate Kerry Blackshear Jr. The New Taipei Kings also secured two selections, with Jeremy Lin and Sani Sakakini earning spots. Taoyuan Pauian Pilots’ standout guard Lu Chun-Hsiang rounds out the five-player lineup.

The All-EASL 2024-25 Team presented by Spalding with statistics through the regular season and Final Four:

Dwayne Evans II, Hiroshima Dragonflies: 22.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists

Despite playing just two regular-season games, Evans shined in the Final Four, posting 38 points and 20 rebounds across both contests to claim EASL Final Four 2025 Finals MVP honors. He delivered 18 points, 11 boards, and three blocks in the championship win over Taoyuan. Notably, Evans also dropped a season-high 33 points on Dec. 25, 2024, leading his team past the Pilots 84-73.

Kerry Blackshear Jr., Hiroshima Dragonflies: 16.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists

Blackshear played a key role in Hiroshima’s 5-1 group-stage run, earning Player of the Game honors in three of his four appearances — tied with Hong Kong Eastern’s Chris McLaughlin for the most this season. He carried that momentum into the Final Four, averaging 15.5 points and 9.5 rebounds over Hiroshima’s last two games. Blackshear’s season-high came in an 88-75 win over HKE on Oct. 30, when he notched 25 points.

Sani Sakakini, New Taipei Kings: 17.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists

Sakakini is one of only two players on this list to appear in all eight EASL games during the 2024-25 season. While he faced some challenges in the Final Four with the Kings, he was a steady force in the regular season, recording three double-doubles. His standout performance came in a historic 106-96 double-overtime win against the Meralco Bolts, where he dropped 31 points and 12 rebounds to secure New Taipei’s postseason spot.

Jeremy Lin, New Taipei Kings: 17.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists

Lin got off to a strong start in his second consecutive EASL campaign—the only player on this All-EASL team to compete in back-to-back seasons. He opened with consecutive 20-point games against the Macau Black Bears and earned Player of the Game honors in New Taipei’s first two wins before suffering a right hamstring injury early against Busan KCC Egis on Jan. 21. Despite the setback, Lin played a key role in the Kings’ third-place finish at EASL Final Four 2025, scoring 18 points on 54% shooting.

Lu Chun-Hsiang, Taoyuan Pauian Pilots: 19.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists

Lu was arguably the biggest riser among the All-EASL selections. He was the only player in the group to earn EASL Player of the Month honors, winning in February after a 33-point performance in a win-or-go-home game against Hong Kong Eastern to secure his team’s Final Four spot. He elevated his play in the Final Four, scoring 44 points across two games while going a perfect 17-for-17 from the free-throw line. In domestic competition, Lu made history in January, becoming the all-time leading scorer in Chinese Taipei’s P. LEAGUE+.

The league selected players to the All-EASL First Team presented by Spalding without regard to position. Selections were made internally based on performance throughout the season.
