Seoul SK Knights finished the 2021-22 KBL season as the championship. The team comprise of regular season domestic and import MVP Choi Jun Yong and Jameel Warney, respectively. Team star Kim Sun-Hyung also took home the Finals MVP award. The Knights will return to EASL competition in Group B after falling short in the 2019 EASL Terrific 12 Tournament.
Utsunomiya Brex surprised hoop fans with an impressive 2-0 sweep of the Ryukyu Golden Kings in the 2021-22 B.LEAGUE Finals. Led by team star Makoto Hiejima, they will be competing in Group B in EASL Season 1.
The newly formed Bay Area Dragons, a team made of top-tier Chinese talent, will compete in its first season as a guest club in the Philippine’s PBA as well as a Greater China representative in EASL Season 1.
The runner-up from the current PBA Philippine Cup will be the last member of Group B.
